שוקיותא

שוֹקְיוּתָאf. (v. שוּק I; cmp. נֶשֶׁק) contact, combat. Cant. R. to I, 2 (play on ישקני, ib.) שוּקְיוּתְהוֹן על ידי their combat (in discussions of the Law) is for My sake; ib. מְשוּקְיוּתְהוֹן עלי; Yalk. ib. 981 משיקות הם עלי (read: מְשִׁיקוֹתֵיחֶם h. form, their combats ).
